Accepting Fall 2026 Submissions:
DeULR publishes original legal arguments written by DePaul undergraduates. We welcome pieces on any topic that connects to the law, from constitutional questions to antitrust, technology, and human rights. Our editors evaluate each submission on the strength of its argument, the soundness of its legal reasoning, and the integrity of its citations.
Our editorial team is small and may reach capacity for submissions. High-quality submissions will be prioritized.
Deadline for Fall 2026: 10/28

We publish argumentative articles, not summaries. Your piece should advance an original thesis about a legal issue, one an educated reader could reasonably disagree with. Narrow, well-supported arguments are stronger than broad ones. Articles are written for an educated general audience, so keep legal jargon to a minimum.

Each submission is reviewed by a DeULR editor, who checks eligibility, evaluates the argument, and reviews style and citations. Most authors receive a decision and a feedback memo within 1-3 weeks. Authors asked to revise have seven days to return their revisions. Accepted pieces appear in our next issue.
